Why does this page exist?

Long answer? I am a bit jealous of the Japanese websites that list photo studios with tags, location and potential extra notes making things a lot more search-friendly. Unfortunately, looking for lists of photo studios for EU or NA Data centers only gave me a few scattered resources, mostly google sheets that haven’t been updated in ages, Discord servers or pure word of mouth via friends, Twitter and Instagram. There was not a single source that was able to cater for everyone and all sources available usually limited either the tags for their themes or the images of their booths. Or both. So how are you sure that the studio that markets themselves as “flowers” and “modern” really has what you might be looking for when all their images happen to just show overgrown chairs on a stage panel? You still need to waste a teleport at minimum or a DC travel at worst to check out the place yourself only to not find what you were hoping for.
This page visits every studio location it gets notified of, takes pictures of every booth, every room, every little corner in that location and tags according to all of the booths, making sure people can see what they will get before they find their way there.
But why a manual site?
Cause I suck at coding, automation and have even less clue about anything that would require user account management systems. What else then is there but to go old school? WordPress with its tags and comments and galleries seemed like the simplest choice for a code-illiterate.
How are the posts getting updated?
Word of mouth. It took me weeks to visit all locations that were scattered through the known google sheets and discord servers. I can’t afford to regularly visit every location again to check if they refurbished or even got demolished. So, if anything is not accurate anymore, comment on the post, use the contact form or send me a discord pm at izy.ffxiv (or my main discord, if you know me personally). I will then revisit the location and update pictures and tags.
Why are the NA Data Centers missing anything from Empyreum and Shirogane?
Cause my NA alt has yet to make it through ARR. Therefor I do not have the other Housing Districts unlocked. Unless I get help from an NA player or manage to sit down and get my lazy ass through ARR/Patches/HW/half of SB I cannot visit/photograph/tag any Empyreum/Shirogane studios.
However here is a post that will list all of them in a table format until I can cover them!
Is there a list of all tags used so far? The tag cloud does not cover everything!
So far I have not figured out how to either unlimit the tag cloud or how to make a page that lists all tags ever used on this site. There are currently over a 130 different tags used and the ones not visible in the cloud are still searchable via the search bar! But until I figured out how to do a “all tags” list somehow, you have to see what additional tags might have been used on the individual postings.
I see my studio posted here but you are missing tags or extra notes!
Then please inform me about them! As stated in the side navigation, I depend on what information I can find either online or in the game. If I got your info from, say, Pralines google sheet or a Discord and no tags were posted there nor does your placard or guest book ingame feature them, I have no clue how to find your Twitter/Instagram/Carrd to figure out all missing information.
How do you even find all the studios that are listed here?
90 % of the studios listed here are from me finding them via public postings, mainly the EU Photostudio discord, the EU Gpose Studio Sheet by Praline and the NA GPose Studio Sheet by Forgivenrevelry as well as sometimes individual postings on Instagram I encounter. The other 10 % are actually me having stumbled upon plots with the photo studio icon on the housing district overview whenever I felt fancy to actively look for it.
My studio is listed but I do not want it there!
If you want it taken down, a quick info is all I need and I will take the post offline. If you are only temporarily closed due to refurbishing or other reasons and want to come back at a later point, please mention it, so that I can just archive the post to bring it back later with the updated information.

I just felt like giving back a little bit to the ffxiv community. Simple as that.
